Spring is here, which means that now the Farmer’s Markets are opening up too! Kansas City has SO MANY Farmer’s Markets to choose from. So put on some comfortable shoes, grab some shopping bags and make sure you bring cash (small bills).
Here is a list of our favorite Farmer Markets:
City Market
This is the largest market in the city! This market is huge with over 140 vendors and you can purchase anything from crafts, fresh baked goods and produce. It even has special year-round events. Open on Saturdays from 8:00 – 3:00pm and Sundays 9:00am – 3:00pm, and a Wednesday midweek mini-market from 10:00am – 2:oopm.
Overland Park Farmers Market
For over 30 years, vendors have been offering customers a wide variety of products including fresh produce, local foods and unique specialty items. The market is open on Saturdays from 7 a.m.-1 p.m. April 14-September 29, and 8 a.m.-1p.m., October 6-November 17. Can’t make it on the Saturdays? The market is open midweek on Wednesdays too, from 7:30 a.m.-1p.m., May 16-September 26.
Parkville Farmers Market
Visit English Landing Park in Downtown Parkville, MO where you’ll find friendly farmers. They have an assortment of fruits and vegetables, meats, farm fresh eggs, local honey & honey by-products, jams and jellies, homemade baked breads & sweet treats, plants and cut flowers, herbs, mushrooms and more. Open on Saturdays too! Beginning April 28th thru October 27th, they will be open from 7:00am – 12:00pm, and on Wednesdays starting, June 13th thru September 12th, 2018 from 12:00pm – 4:00pm.
