4th of July Events Around KC
July starts out with a bang (pun intended) as we celebrate the birth of our country and fills our calendar with fun KC events.
July 3 – The Liberty Fest starts at 6:00 pm with a beer garden, music and food trucks with fireworks starting at 10 pm.
July 3 – Lee’s Summit’s Legacy Blast celebration at Legacy Park! The gates open to the park at 6 p.m., and fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m. A musically choreographed fireworks display will be simulcast on 94.9 KCMO.
July 4 – The Stars & stripes picnic at the WW1 Museum. Bring your own picnic or partake in the many local food trucks and live music ending with a fireworks display at 9:45 PM.
July 4 – Parkville Parade and Pancake breakfast at the American Legion and a fireworks show starting at 9:45 pm.
July 4 – Lenexa starts the day off with the Lenexa Freedom Run, and moves to the Paw-triotic Pet Parade with one of the longest-running local parades starting at 10 am.
July 4 – Corporate Woods is home to Overland Park’s Star Spangled Spectacular. Food trucks + Concerts at 5 p.m. and Fireworks at 10:05 p.m
July 6 – Kenny Chesney Concert live at GEHA stadium
July 12-28 – The KC Fringe Fest is back! Check out the schedule of KC’s art scene.
July 19 & 20 – The Amelia Earhart Festival in Atchison KS. Each summer the community pulls out all the stops in honor of its favorite daughter, complete with music, food, and crafts fair, children’s activities, and more!
July 12, 19, 26 – Weekender at Crown Center. Kick off your weekend with top local bands and favorite food trucks on Crown Center Square. Finish the evening with a famous flick under the stars.
July 15 – Barbie the Movie in Concert is playing at Starlight.
July 18 – Aug 2nd – Festival of Butterflies at Powell Gardens explores butterflies through cultures around the world.
