As many of you know, real estate and food go hand in hand. Our clients are ALWAYS asking us for restaurant recommendations throughout the area. I can honestly say, without hesitation. I have finally found a place that is my ALL TIME FAVORITE located in Overland Park, Kansas.

Introducing El Porton Cafe at 4671 Indian Creek Parkway, Overland Park, KS. (Just off of Roe Avenue north of I-435) The owner and his family have stolen our hearts at Group ODell. But more importantly, we have found a place that we can go for a quick lunch or entertain our most important clients.
Jose Garcia, the owner, has decades of experience as a chef and has created an environment where South American and Puerto Rican cuisine has become mainstream. I am no food critic except that I have seen many people leave totally satisfied. Beef, chicken, pork, seafood, sweet plantains with the most creative sauces and flavors makes this food-addict happy. My wife, Maria loves the fresh greens and the amazing light dressing that is served with most meals (yes…even at lunch). We rarely look at the menu at El Porton. If you just order the special of the day, you will never go wrong.

They are open for lunch and dinner. The prices are reasonable ($7 and up for lunch and $12 and up for dinner). Just go there and have the best food you ever consumed. One interesting note: For dinner, bring your own wine and they will cork it for free. No alcohol is served at El Porton. They live and die with their food. It is the very best. Enjoy.
