As I write this, our beloved Royals are in the throes of the ALDS playoffs facing their 4th game of a 5 game series. It’s “must win” time. Most Kansas Citians are aware of the dynamics of the 2015 team and leadership that got them to this point.
In his book, More Than a Season, Royals General Manager, Dayton Moore, talks about the grand plan and patience in getting his team to the World Series last year. No surprise, it’s all rooted in philosophies and principles that will stand the test of time.
Good organizations need philosophies and principles that are foundational and unshakable, they need values that hold them together and they need people who embrace both and know how to execute the organization’s mantra. We’ve had fun this month promoting the superheroes of our team but more than that, they are the walking, talking examples of what we value most and work together as a team every day with one goal – serving the client to the Group O’Dell standard.
It’s critical to our process that each team member supports each other whether it’s delivering a sign, explaining contract terms, to providing expert negotiation and ultimately getting to the closing table with no issues. Every piece builds a complex puzzle and opportunity for setbacks exists at every corner as we’ve had to coordinate with funeral homes to squirrel removal companies to mortgage companies and everything in between.
From initial planning to final closing, our success is measured by happy clients moving to the next phase of life. Group ODell’s job is to positively coordinate all the moving parts of a very complex transaction so our clients are served at a very high level and ultimately feel confident in referring us.
We are thankful for our clients who have allowed us into their lives. However, we are also thankful for the tireless efforts of our Group ODell Team who understand the lives we impact and the reach of our efforts throughout our community. We are committed to work towards mastery of our craft so that we can make a difference to the lives we touch.
