Group O’Dell’s favorite Farmers’ Markets in the Kansas City Metro
City Market, Kansas City, MO
This is the largest market in the city! This market is huge with over 140 vendors and you can purchase anything from crafts, fresh baked goods and produce. It even has special year-round events. Open on Saturdays from 8am – 3pm and Sundays 9am – 3pm, and a Wednesday midweek mini-market from 10am – 2pm.
Kansas Farmers’ Markets
Lenexa
The Lenexa Farmers’ Market is hosted at the Lenexa Civic Campus Parking Garage, 17201 W. 87th Street Parkway Lenexa, KS. The market runs from April to October on Saturdays & Tuesdays. Saturdays: April 20 to Oct. 26: 8am – noon and Tuesdays: May 28 to Aug. 27: 8am – noon.
Merriam
Merriam Farmers’ Market is located at the Merriam Marketplace 5740 Merriam Drive, Merriam, KS 66203 Saturdays through September 28th, from 7am – 1pm.
Olathe
Olathe has two Farmers’ Market locations: Stagecoach Park: 1205 E Kansas City Road & Black Bob Park: 14500 W 151st Street at Field 1. The Olathe Farmers’ Market operates April through October to offer a variety of baked goods, flowers, fresh produce, plants and more. Open 7:30 until items are sold.
Overland Park
For over 30 years, vendors have been offering customers a wide variety of products including fresh produce, local foods and unique specialty items. The market is open on Saturdays from 7am -1pm. April 13-September 28, and 8am.-1pm., October 5-November 16. Can’t make it on the Saturdays? The market is open midweek on Wednesdays too, from 7:30 am-1pm., May 15-September 25.
Missouri Farmers Markets
Blue Springs
Located at 11th and Main, the Blue Springs Farmers Market begins the first weekend in May and goes through the end of October. The market is every Saturday from 7am to noon.
Liberty
Historic Downtown Liberty Farmers Market Located at the Liberty Square, 117 N Main St b, Liberty, MO 64068 runs every Saturday, May through September 7am-noon and October, 8am-noon. Vendors carry a variety of produce, flowers, meat, eggs, baked goods, prepared foods and some craft items.
Parkville
Visit English Landing Park in Downtown Parkville, MO where you’ll find friendly farmers. They have an assortment of fruits and vegetables, meats, farm fresh eggs, local honey & honey by-products, jams and jellies, homemade baked breads & sweet treats, plants and cut flowers, herbs, mushrooms and more. Open on Saturdays too! Beginning April 27th thru October 26th, they will be open from 7am – noon, and on Wednesdays starting, June 12th thru September 11th, from noon – 4pm.
