This year is the tenth annual Kansas City Irish Fest! This year you will find 30 Celtic rock and traditional Irish bands on 7 stages, over 20 heritage workshops, and exhibits and genealogy. There is also a massive Children’s Area so everyone can enjoy the fun. Don’t miss out on one of the top three largest Irish festivals in the nation

Kansas City Renaissance Festival
The Kansas City Renaissance Festival, now in its 37th year, opens on Labor Day weekend. With over 16 acres of games, rides, 500 costumed characters, 160+ shops and artisians it’s something to see. Don’t forget that Giant Turkey Leg!!!

Santa-Cali-Gon Days
Santa-Cali-Gon is a long standing Labor Day weekend tradition on the Historic Square in Independence, Missouri (112 W. Lexington). Over a quarter million folks head to the festival which lasts Friday-Monday. It’s got a great line up of entertainment, and admission is FREE.

Pops in the Park
The Kansas City Symphony will present its 29th annual Labor Day Pops in the Park concert on September 3rd at 7:00 p.m. Under the evening sky, and the baton of associate conductor Steven Jarvi, the full symphony orchestra will perform a program designed to delight family audiences. The event is FREE for all, bring blankets and chairs.

Good Guys 11th Mid-Western Nationals
This large car show will feature over 2,000 Rods, Customs, Classics, Street Machines, Muscle Cars & Trucks thru ’72 from Friday, August 31 – Saturday, September 1. There will also be many other vendor and manufacturer exhibits, swap meet and auto trader, and classics cars for sale corral. This is a fun event for any car enthusiast as well as fun for the entire family with a free kids entertainment
