Dancefestopia
Sept. 1 – 7, 2025
A major camping and electronic music festival in LaCygne KS, one of the nation’s largest of its kind. Expect high-energy DJ sets and a vibrant festival experience.
45th Annual Art Westport
Sept. 5 – 7, 2025
Held in KC’s historic Westport neighborhood, this is the city’s oldest and largest juried local art fair. Featuring original art, jewelry, ceramics, live music, and hands-on creative activities for the kids.
Kansas City Reggae Music & Jerk Festival
Sept. 5 – 7, 2025
Come on down to Berkley Riverfront Park for three days of roots reggae, world music, Caribbean cuisine, local artisans, and wellness experiences, all along the riverbank.
Deaf Cultural Festival
Sept. 13, 2025
Hosted at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. This celebration highlights Deaf culture, American Sign Language, live performances, and creative workshops.
Cider Hill Family Orchard
Month of September
A favorite U-Pick orchard in Kansas City KS. 18 different apple varieties on 6000 trees. The only orchard where you’re encouraged to bring a picnic lunch, and on the third weekend of September, test your skill for who can haul in the biggest fish from one of the five ponds.
Fiesta Hispana
Sept. 12 – 14, 2025
Presented by the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, this festival brings music, food, dancing, and cultural exhibits celebrating Hispanic heritage at the American Royal grounds.
KC Underground Film Festival
Sept. 12 – 20, 2025
A free and inclusive celebration of bold, independent, under-the-radar cinema hosted by Charlotte Street. Expect an eclectic lineup of films and filmmakers. Held at Charlotte Street Stern Theater in KC’s midtown.
Jesse James Festival
Sept. 13 & Sept. 19–21, 2025
Part villain and part local hero, Kearney, MO offers a multi-day community blowout with parades, a carnival, fishing tournaments, and more, paying tribute to the outlaw’s roots.
Camp Leavenworth Street Festival
Sept. 20 – 21, 2025
A free festival celebrating the community of Leavenworth, KS, includes national music acts, fireworks, food trucks, and lively fun for all ages.
Plaza Art Fair
Sept. 19 – 21, 2025
On the Country Club Plaza, this long-standing tradition is a beloved fair that showcases hundreds of artists, live performances, food vendors, and a festive arts market atmosphere.
The Fun Farm

It’s time for Fall Fest at the Fun Farm in Kearney MO. Corn maze, pumpkin patch, cider donuts, and family-friendly attractions, including barnyard animals.
18th & Vine Arts Festival

Located in the historic 18th & Vine District, this festival celebrates Black art, culture, film, fashion, and community in a weekend-long immersive experience.
