Meet the Jimenez family.
What brought you to Kansas City?
Alba: Eric was sought out by a national non-profit organization called Made to Flourish based in Kansas City.
Eric: The potential of relaunching Alba’s art career here in KC was a major factor for our decision. Moving to a place that had a healthy network of artists as well as many opportunities for career development was a must and then on our first trip we realized KC had a mature but evolving artist community as well as artist lovers and supporters that would be important to her continued work.
Alba: Our agent, Michelle, was a big part of our consideration. She drove us around patiently in several areas to get a better feel for what housing would look like and she shared her own life and experience in a real way. Our time became less and less transactional and more relational minute by minute.
So we left Kansas City overwhelmed with everything that needed to be done to move our family of six to a new city.
What was your home buying experience in Kansas City?
Alba: Our agent, Michelle. was instrumental in helping us identify and choose a sound house within our budget and then structured the negotiation so we actually won in a multiple offer situation. When we went back to Louisville all the details were handled here by Group O’Dell which gave us the peace of mind to move forward.
The buying process with Group O’Dell was truly an anchor for us, that kept us having hope and excitement about what the future was holding for us, here in Kansas City. The unexpected care came after the acquisition of our home. They connected us with other people, they remember our family’s special days and are always looking for an opportunity to serve.
